Phonegap barcode scanner plugin not working
WebJul 1, 2024 · The plugin will look for a HTML element with the id "barcodeScanStream". If the plugin detects the element, it will open the user media and place the camera stream inside the video element. The default camera will be the back camera. This can be changed using an html element with the id "barcodeScanDevice". WebThen, to add the BarcodeScanner plugin, go to Project > Create new > From Plug-in. In the new window, select Apperyio Barcode Service and click Import selected plugins. Click Apply settings on the next page and the plug-in is imported. You should see Barcode_scan service and Barcode JavaScript file.

WebMar 12, 2024 · With the Cordova version, the frame for scanning the barcode is smaller than the phonegap one and with big barcode, the reading does not always give the correct result. We have rebuilt a client with the phonegap version and it works. Looking at the plugins details, cordova version was updated 3 years ago, phonegap 2 years ago but is deprecated.
