My suggestion is that you keep it exactly that way, the C: partitioned disk for Windows only and the second disk which is much larger as a storage disk. You usually have a drive letter assigned, but you can have the drive be a folder, or have no drive letter. Try it. It takes like 2 seconds and you can change it back just as easily.
